MayFest of Huntingdon
Mayfest of Huntingdon in Historic Downtown Huntingdon, PA
With its rich history and changes through the eras, Historic Downtown Huntingdon can not be experienced better than from Mayfest. Held the last Saturday in April, Mayfest of Huntingdon is a fun and vivacious block party full of costumes, live music, good food, kids crafts and activities, and vendors. During Mayfest, five city blocks are marked off for five historic eras: Renaissance Faire, Colonial Times, Victorian Era, Back to the 50's, and Woodstock. All blocks showcase period time history, costumes, and vendors. Some blocks even have reenactments and craft and trade demonstrations. Admission is free and parking is free. All funds from the event are donated to non-profit agencies and organizations. Past year's events include a petting zoo, carriage rides, live bands, live performances of dance troupes, a hula hoop contest, sidewalk chalk art, kids facepainting, and of course great street food! A community favorite, Mayfest is a unique event of Huntingdon!
